Key Job Elements:
- Manage cost, schedule, and performance of the program to meet customer requirements and achieve GDLS-C Operating Plan commitments
- Lead multi-disciplined team to resolve programmatic and technical issues, developing productive relationships with peers in supporting departments
- Function as customer-facing representative, developing and building strong customer relationships
- Differentiate our products and services from the competition by creating overwhelming value for your customer throughout the entire buying and lifecycle process
- Pursue new business capture activities in collaboration with Strategy and Business Development
- Develop negotiating positions in collaboration with the Contracts department
- Manage all risk elements of the program
- Manage and mentor program staff, including timely completion of performance appraisals
- Lead in a manner that aligns with GDLS’s vision, and with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ensure all Program activities meet compliance requirements (ITAR / EAR / FCPA / GP / SOX, etc.)
Position Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- University degree
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience managing Projects or Programs
- Familiarity with GDLS-C processes and products from a Design, Production and Support perspective
- Experience leading teams to achieve common objectives
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute effectively to achieve short and long term objectives
- Demonstrated negotiation and communication skills
- Demonstrated strength in managing relationships at all levels of an organization, both internal and external
- Familiarity with and/or experience in military
- Ability to travel (10-20% International) and (10-20% Canadian) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP designation
- MBA
- Previous Manager experience
- Previous experience working with government contracts
- Program office experience
