Position Summary
The Western Fair is looking for energetic, customer-focused team members to join our Food & Beverage team during our annual 10-day fair. Front of House Staff work in our concessions and licensed bars, providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving food and beverages in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Whether you're taking food orders, serving guests, preparing concessions, or working behind the bar, you'll play an important role in creating a memorable experience for thousands of fairgoers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional customer service to all guests.
- Operate cash registers and accurately process cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Prepare and serve food, snacks, and beverages according to food safety standards.
- Bartenders will prepare and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with Smart Serve regulations.
- Restock food, beverages, and supplies throughout each shift.
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations.
- Follow all food handling, health, and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to manage busy service periods.
- Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Friendly, positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the Western Fair.
- Smart Serve Certification is required for bartender positions.
- Previous food service or customer service experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Hiring Process
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
Successful applicants will be expected to attend mandatory paid orientation and position-specific training sessions scheduled throughout late August and early September. Training dates will be communicated during the hiring process.
The Western Fair is a 10-day event, and successful candidates are expected to be available for the duration of the Fair, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: From $17.63 per hour
