Your Opportunity:
The successful Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will support an integrated intensive rehabilitation care plan for patients on unit 4C at the Glenrose Hospital. The successful LPN works to full scope and assists with implementing nursing care plans that maximize our patient's functional independence and support the medical management of a diverse older adult population. The LPN must be able to effectively communicate and interact with an interprofessional care team. The successful candidate must be confident to practice to full scope and be physically able to stand for long periods of time and assist patients with ADL's, compression stocking application, transferring and toileting assistance.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Previous experience in an acute care setting, or charge LPN responsibilities in LTC/subacute/palliative setting, experience working with medically complex patients. Must be able to push/pull/bend/ walk and stand for majority of shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
Connect Care training and fluency.
