ExVivo Labs (Founded 2014) is a diagnostic company in Waterloo, ON, creating the next generation of point-of-care (PoC) in vitro diagnostics (IVD) medical devices, to diagnose allergies. The company was started in 2014, by two University of Waterloo graduates, who sought to develop new diagnostic tools to improve the quality-of-care for physicians and patients.
ExVivo is currently seeking a conscientious individual with strong attention to detail to join the assay development team to assist with consistent and precise manual assembly of lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) test-strips utilized for R&D. The successful candidate will be part of a growing multidisciplinary team of scientist and engineers in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Candidates must be willing to relocate to Kitchener/Waterloo area.
Responsibilities and Duties
The LIFA Manual-Assembly Technician will be responsible for the hand construction of ExVivo's test strips (LFIA). Reporting to the CTO, the LFIA Manual-Assembly Technician will be trained to master each step in the production of ExVivo's test-strips including reagents and components as well as conducting and recording the results of intermediate quality control (QC) test to verify conformity to specification. Test strips will be prepared in support of assay team experiments and assay development. The LFIA Manual-Assembly Technician will also help transfer knowledge to product manufacturing in the future.
