Key Objectives for Client Survey Analyst- Receivables Finance:

HSBC is the largest trade and receivable finance organisation in the world, offering a comprehensive range of forward-thinking open account supply chain and traditional trade solutions. The bank has been recognised by the industry’s most prominent publications and associations for its strength in combining innovation and service excellence with end-to-end customer solutions. HSBC GTRF serves as a core service provider for Commercial (CMB) and Global Banking (GBM) customers.

This role’s core aim is to independently, and objectively, identify and manage Receivables Finance (RF) risks through appropriate Survey and Due Diligence work to:

To ascertain the value of the assets purchased, or to be purchased, under the client’s agreement with RF
To determine the likelihood and timing of the need to rely on those assets to protect HSBC’s security.
To take, or recommend, action to ensure the security of the funding provided, or to be provided.
Broaden and deepen the relationships with clients and prospects.
Working with others, to maintain and build upon high customer service standards by putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.
To create value by sharing technical knowledge with all staff and acting as a role model for improving standards and efficiency.

Principle Accountabilities:
To ensure service quality standards are achieved and maintained in line with the bank’s stated objective to put the customer at the heart of everything we do.
To work in close liaison with client management and sales teams, and with RF Asset Advisory.
To lead by example, particularly in alignment to the bank’s strategic imperatives. Sharing best practice and technical knowledge to help develop an effective team.
Ensure integrity of credit and operating risk procedures and implement the Group compliance requirements in conjunction with the relevant compliance department.
Compliance generally and Sarbanes-Oxley Act Compliance 2006 specifically

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:
Essential

A high degree of analysis and judgement, including practical auditing or accountancy experience (minimum 2-5 years in a similar environment).
Good financial analysis skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to elicit information from all levels of client staff.
Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken).
Analysis and Judgement – Experience in making sound decisions after seeking and evaluating relevant information, facts and evidence. Willingness to commit to a firm course of action and be held accountable for outcomes
Detailed technical knowledge of RF products and delivery channels, and a good working knowledge of HSBC Group products including Trade Services
A high degree of self-motivation to achievement of results, and accomplishment of objectives.
Industry related Diploma or Certificate (desirable but not essential)
High standard of IT skills to extract & analyse data from complex systems
