Victoria Distillers is looking for an Inventory & Warehouse Co-ordinator to join their team in Delta, BC. This is a full-time position reporting to the Manager of Operations.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator supports the execution and growth of Victoria Distillers Inc. by ensuring efficient warehouse operations, inventory accuracy and uninterrupted material flow throughout the Cliveden facility. This position supports daily Warehouse and Production activities while coordinating inventory control, material movements and ERP transactions. As the operational designate for the Manufacturing Supervisor when required, the role provides cross-functional support to Manufacturing Operations and is based in Delta, BC.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Responsibilities
- On floor presence is fundamental to this role. Time must be effectively managed to maintain a strong operational presence within the warehouse and production areas while balancing the administrative responsibilities necessary to support Operational Excellence.
- Maintain a consistent floor presence supporting Production, Warehouse and Shipping activities.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, adaptability and sound judgement in daily operations.
- Communicate operational priorities with Production and Warehouse personnel.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, material handling and production equipment as required.
- Support Production activities and coordinate daily operational priorities.
- Serve as the operational designate for the Manufacturing Supervisor when required.
Warehouse Operations and Material Flow
- Responsible for the efficient movement, storage and organization of materials supporting Manufacturing Operations.
- Receive, inspect, store and stage raw materials, packaging components and finished goods.
- Coordinate warehouse activities supporting Production, Receiving, Shipping and external warehouse locations.
- Maintain warehouse organization, storage locations, staging areas, material identification and 5S standards.
- Support loading, unloading, inventory transfers and material relocations.
- Coordinate daily warehouse priorities while assisting with coaching and development of Warehouse personnel.
- Coordinate material availability to support uninterrupted Production operations.
Inventory Control Excellence
- Responsible for maintaining accurate physical inventory and supporting inventory integrity throughout Manufacturing Operations.
- Process inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, issues and adjustments within the ERP system.
- Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory reconciliations and month-end inventory activities.
- Maintain inventory records, KPI reports, trackers and supporting documentation.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies through Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain FIFO practices, inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory control, warehouse efficiency and material flow through Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Partner Relationships
- Support effective communication with warehouse partners and internal stakeholders to maintain inventory accuracy and uninterrupted material flow.
- Coordinate inventory movements between Cliveden, Sidney and third-party warehouse partners.
- Maintain warehouse inventory records and supporting KPI documentation.
- Communicate inventory requirements and escalate discrepancies affecting operations.
- Support Production, Procurement and Shipping through effective material coordination.
Continuous Improvement and Inventory Systems
- Support the ongoing improvement of warehouse systems, inventory processes and operational performance.
- Process ERP inventory transactions accurately while maintaining warehouse documentation and KPI reporting.
- Assist in developing warehouse procedures, SOPs and inventory control systems.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Recommend improvements to warehouse layout, inventory control and material flow.
Special Projects
- Support inventory and warehouse activities relating to new products, alternate SKUs and operational improvements.
- Assist with planning, execution and inventory control for manufacturing projects.
- Support implementation of new equipment, warehouse systems and operational improvements.
- Collect operational data, monitor inventory performance and communicate project status to Management.
All Other Duties as Assigned
- As the organization continues to evolve, additional responsibilities may be assigned to support operational requirements and business growth.
- Demonstrate flexibility, ownership and Continuous Improvement while supporting the evolving needs of Manufacturing Operations.
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
