Reporting to Maintenance Manger, the incumbent will be responsible for directly managing a team of technically skilled staff including Millwright Mechanics and Electricians. A dynamic hands-on leader and skilled troubleshooter who can continually develop the capabilities of their team while working with vendors and key internal stakeholders.
What you’ll get to do:
Lead a team of up to 10 maintenance personnel in a 24/7 operation.
Carry out the daily shift meeting to effectively communicate to every team members of any issues pertaining to QCDSM.
Effectively resolve issues and elevate it to the next level of management if assist is needed.
Work with planner to ensure all assigned PM tasks are completed on time.
Conducts workplace inspection in area of responsibility for safety and GMP violations, perform corrective actions.
Monitor and track maintenance performance and take action to ensure KPIs on track.
Able to read and interpret Blue prints, CAD drawing.
Coach maintenance team in resolving issues related to safety, quality, and productivity losses.
Maintain good employee relations and adherence to company policies and procedure and take proper disciplinary action when required.
Prepare all vacation and weekly shift schedules.
Perform employee performance reviews, review job postings and interview personnel.
Responsible for ensuring an effective PM system is in place to maintain equipment compliance to SQF, GMPS and quality requirements.
The Recipe for Success:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to handle conflict, align performance for success and initiate action.
Ability to work 8 hour rotating shifts.
Must have a wide technical knowledge including: Electrical, PLC, Mechanical, Machining, Boiler, Welding, and General Construction practices.
Proven experience teaching and working on automated equipment (PLCs, robotics, hydraulics, motors, etc).
Proven leadership, problem solving, coaching/mentoring and training skills.
Strong communication skills.
