Position Summary
The Centre Director is responsible for overseeing the opening, daily operations, and overall management of Muenster Cooperative Childcare Center (MCCC). Working under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Director will ensure the efficient operation of the centre in compliance with Saskatchewan’s Child Care Act and associated regulations, as amended from time to time, and establish policies while providing leadership in administration, staffing, programming, and financial management.
About Us:
Muenster Cooperative Childcare Centre (MCCC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Centre Director to lead the opening and ongoing operations of our new childcare centre. Located in Muenster, Saskatchewan, MCCC will serve families from Muenster and surrounding rural municipalities, with a licensed capacity of 45 children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Centre Director is responsible for the overall management and operation of the childcare centre, including:
- Overseeing the opening and daily operations of the centre.
- Ensuring compliance with Saskatchewan childcare legislation, licensing requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Managing enrolment, registrations, waitlists, staffing schedules, and maintaining required staff-to-child ratios.
- Providing leadership in human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, supervision, performance management, staff development, and retention.
- Managing financial administration, including budgeting, billing, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and financial reporting.
- Securing and administering grants, funding opportunities, and government programs.
- Attending Board meetings and providing operational reports and recommendations.
- Supporting the development and delivery of high-quality early learning and childcare programming.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, staff, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Maintaining a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Overseeing menu planning and ensuring nutritious meals and snacks are provided in accordance with applicable guidelines.
Qualifications
- ECE Level III Certification or ECE Level I or II with a valid exemption.
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Current Food Safe Certification.
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under the direction of a Board of Directors.
- Experience in a licensed childcare setting and supervisory experience are considered assets.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, licensing requirements, budgeting, grant administration, and human resource management is considered an asset.
- Valid Saskatchewan Driver's Licence is considered an asset.
Salary:
$52,000 – $66,560 annually, negotiable based on education, qualifications, and experience.
