We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeeper to join our amazing team!
Job Duties
- Clean motel rooms, cottages, and other company facilities
- retail spaces, offices, storage areas & laundry rooms
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors, wash windows, and dust
- Sanitize high touch surfaces
- Change bedding and towels linens
- Restock consumables
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners
- Laundry, including spot treating stains and folding
- Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff
- Assist with waste management and sustainability objectives
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a housekeeper or cleaner (asset)
- Knowledge of the English language is required

- Ability to stand and bend over long periods
- Strength to lift up to 50 lbs

- Knowledge of the Tobermory area
Working Conditions
- 5 to 6 shifts per week
- 6-10 hours per shift
- No shifts start before 8:00am or finish after 6:00 pm
- ½ hour unpaid lunch break
- Frequent exposure to noise and a regular flow of people
- Exposure to cleaning products and soiled linens
- Uniform must be purchased and worn at all times on shift
Compensation
- Starting from $19/hour

- Opportunity to work overtime in peak season (July/August)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Tobermory, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
