Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere
- Schedule and confirm appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and handle appointment rescheduling
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting payments and providing patient education
- Maintain organized patient files and ensure all documentation complies with privacy regulations
- Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts and coordinating communication between patients and providers
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a dental or medical office environment( especially with kids ) is highly preferred
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Tracker or Dentrix is a strong plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems is essential
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor at the front desk
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records
- Experience handling multi-line phone systems and administrative tasks in a busy office setting
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technology tools and office procedures
- Bilingual (English and French)
