Job Description:
- Assist the General Manager in restaurant operations.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the restaurant.
· Ensure the Franchisor's standards for the restaurant are adhered to.
· Ensure health and safety policies are in place and followed.
· Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers.
Staff Management
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new front- and back-of-house employees.
- Build weekly shift schedules to balance proper coverage with labour cost goals.
- Monitor team performance, deliver coaching, and handle discipline or conflict resolution.
· Ensure effective communication with staff. Conduct regular staff meetings and team-building activities to enhance performance and productivity.
· Manage staff scheduling to ensure proper staffing based on business needs.
Operations and Guest Service
· Maintain the highest level of customer service.
- Supervise floor activity during peak operating hours and assist staff when needed.
- Greet guests, monitor satisfaction, and address customer complaints appropriately and promptly.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Build customer base by engaging with local communities and schools, promoting healthy food options.
Inventory and Finance
- Track stock levels, order food, beverages, and supplies, and manage vendor relations.
- Monitor operational costs, reduce waste, and track daily or weekly revenues.
- Assist with payroll preparation and review profit-and-loss metrics.
Skills/Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required
- 3 years of Management experience in the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, professionalism and excellent customer service in all areas of work
- Flexibility with work schedule to meet the requirements of the role
- Must hold Smart Serve - Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)
