Abatement Foreman / Field Operations Lead
Our construction company, LiveTreo Construction Services Ltd., is hiring an experienced, hands-on supervisor to independently lead a crew and manage daily hazardous-material abatement and selective demolition work.
Responsibilities
- Plan and assign daily crew activities.
- Lead hazard assessments, safety meetings and work-site setup.
- Verify worker training, PPE, respirators, equipment and other required controls.
- Ensure work follows approved procedures and safety requirements.
- Coordinate consultants, trades, inspections, materials, equipment and waste.
- Complete daily field reports, photos and safety records.
- Stop work and escalate unsafe, unexpected or out-of-scope conditions.
Must Have
- Supervisory experience in asbestos abatement, hazardous-material removal and demolition.
- Proven ability to lead workers and plan work independently.
- Strong knowledge of abatement controls, PPE, decontamination and waste handling.
- Current asbestos-worker training, or the ability to renew it before starting work.
- Clear spoken and written English sufficient to give safety instructions, understand procedures and complete field reports.
- A reliable, insured vehicle and valid driver’s licence.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada for the duration of employment.
- Comfortable using email, photos and mobile applications.
Preferred
- Experience working in occupied residential buildings.
- Window-removal, glass-handling or building-envelope experience.
- Experience coordinating environmental consultants and clearance inspections.
Employment Details
- Approximately 40 hours per week.
- Typical schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with occasional work outside these hours as project needs require.
- $45–$50 per hour, based on demonstrated experience and ability.
