Established in 1973 and incorporated in 1974, D.G. Biddle & Associates Limited provides Consulting Engineering services in Southern Ontario, mainly in the Durham Region and surrounding area. The company has a staff of approximately 45, including Professional Engineers, Planners, Technicians, Administrative and Field Personnel providing Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services to both private and public clients.
Role Summary:
We currently have an immediate opening for a Junior Mechanical Engineering Designer. The role will be focused on providing CAD, design and drafting on building design and projects.
- Assist in the design of new building mechanical systems for projects such as apartment buildings, gas stations, offices, daycares, and other building types.
- Designs will include HVAC duct design, plumbing systems, and sprinkler distributions.
- Other miscellaneous drafting and design duties will also occur.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Mechanical Engineering Technology program – diploma received.
Attributes:
- Familiarity with AutoCAD (basic knowledge is acceptable)
- All specifics for building design will be learned on the job.
- Comfortable working in an office environment.
- Self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task and to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Sociable, good-natured and team focused personality traits are an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
