The Safety and Compliance Coordinator will leverage their expertise in operations and safety by partnering with a cross-functional leadership team to provide support and guidance to business units, groups, and Canadian Natural contractors in the Grande Prairie South district. The successful candidate will play a key role within the Health and Safety team, contributing to a strong safety culture while benefiting from ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.

Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts

Key Accountabilities:
- Champion and promote the consistent implementation and use of Canadian Natural’s Safety Management System, aligning with the company’s Mission Statement
- Partner with leadership to strengthen safety culture through coaching, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting continuous development
- Lead and support the incident management process, including reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis across the Grande Prairie North district
- Conduct field inspections, Worksite Safety Observations (WSOs), and site tours to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with safety standards
- Analyze incident, near miss, inspection, and WSO data to identify trends and effectively communicate insights to stakeholders
- Support regulatory compliance and risk mitigation by participating in hazard assessments, liaising with government bodies, facilitating emergency response training, and contributing to industrial hygiene programs
What You Bring to the Role:
- Minimum 5+ years of oil and gas operations and safety experience, supported by a Grade 12 diploma or GED
- Formal Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) education and/or CRSP designation considered an asset
- Demonstrated safety leadership experience, with supervisory or leadership responsibilities considered an asset
- Working knowledge of provincial safety regulations and standards is an asset
- Strong data analysis capabilities and proficiency with computer systems required
