The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Bid Tracking: Monitor public and private tender sites for relevant bid and RFP invitations.
- Cost Estimating: Prepare and coordinate full, detailed cost estimates and comprehensive tender packages.
- Quantity Takeoffs: Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs from project drawings.
- Document Analysis: Conduct detailed reviews and analysis of project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Tender Management: Manage the tender process, assemble bids, and track Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Procurement: Prepare scopes of work, draft subcontracts, and issue purchase orders.
- Vendor Relations: Coordinate pricing and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subtrades.
- Process Improvement: Continually refine and improve internal estimating practices.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant construction estimating experience within Canada.
- Technical Skills: Exceptional ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Pressure Management: Proven ability to remain composed, focused, and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Autonomy & Multitasking: Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Core Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills, sharp attention to detail, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Mobility: Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
