Landscape & Snow Removal Crew Lead
We are an established landscaping and snow removal company that has been in business for 36 years, and we are currently looking for an experienced Crew Lead to join our team long term.
Our shop is located in Winterburn, with job sites throughout Edmonton and St. Albert.
Responsibilities
The Crew Lead will be responsible for leading a crew and helping complete a variety of landscaping, lawn maintenance, and snow removal work.
Duties may include:
- Leading and supervising a landscaping/snow removal crew
- Organizing daily tasks and keeping the crew productive
- Operating commercial walk-behind mowers and other landscaping equipment
- Skid steer operation
- Lawn care and general landscape maintenance
- Snow and ice removal during the winter season
- Ensuring work is completed safely and to company standards
- Communicating with management regarding job progress and site requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading a crew
- Previous landscaping, lawn care, or snow removal experience
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Reliable vehicle/transportation to our Winterburn shop
- Strong work ethic and dependability
- Ability to work independently and manage a crew
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Experience operating larger commercial walk-behind mowers and skid steers is a definite asset.
Hours
Spring, Summer & Fall:Approximately 3–4 days per week, generally working 10–12 hour days. Typical start times are between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
Winter:Hours are dependent on snowfall. Employees must be available to work when snow events occur and remain available until assigned snow removal work is completed.
