Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our spa and wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from tension through therapeutic massage techniques. This role requires excellent customer service skills, an understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored treatments.
Responsibilities
- Perform various types of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage, based on client preferences and needs.
- Assess clients' physical conditions by reviewing their medical history and conducting thorough evaluations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that address specific client concerns and goals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients before, during, and after treatments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring a positive experience for each client.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend self-care practices to enhance their wellness journey.
- Keep accurate records of client sessions, including treatment notes and progress updates.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices through continuous education.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist is required.
- Strong knowledge of various massage techniques and modalities.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their needs and preferences.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred to ensure clear communication with clients about their health conditions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
- A commitment to maintaining a professional demeanor while providing compassionate care to clients.
