What you will do
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Scrum teams within the Business Analysis and Systems Support team of the Financial Markets Department (FMD).
As a member of a team managed by the Senior Manager, Business Delivery Services, and in full coordination with your Agile/Scrum team, you will bring strategic and analytical expertise about our business unit operations to clarify and document user needs while ensuring that the implementation teams fully understand the features required to improve market operations applications. You will play a strong business role by reviewing and analyzing options to improve the Bank’s business solution capabilities to meet its evolving needs in response to domestic and global economic conditions. Backed by your business analysis skills to fully understand existing needs, you will work closely with all business lines to ensure that the end-state solution meets the Bank’s expectations. Working with an Agile team, you will also contribute to all efforts vital to complete the team’s tasks. This may include tasks beyond business analysis, such as writing automated test scripts or developing tests to assess delivered features. Joining forces with a team of experts in the field will be key to our collective success.
The team’s priority is to provide second-level support for which you will play a central role. You will be a key player in the management of incidents reported by our first-level support by providing investigative leads to address these service interruptions. Your involvement will help to meet the needs of users within predetermined timeframes.
As it is expected from the BA role, we’ll look for you to progressively grasp the content of the processes you are working on and acquire the knowledge required to support your colleagues by defining and clarifying user demands. You are the key player in detailing and clarifying user requests, the support required for delivered solutions, and future improvements, in keeping with the priorities of the department’s work plan. You will have a free hand to suggest improvements on what needs to be documented and how this documentation should be completed.
