Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Cooks to join our culinary team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Cooks will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests by ensuring all meals are prepared efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Communication is KEY in the kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is cooked properly and presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Serve dishes promptly to ensure timely delivery to guests
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with meal preparation across various cuisines is a plus
- Strong understanding of serving protocols and maintaining cleanliness in a busy kitchen setting
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Able to lead a team
