Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting inventory control activities, and ensuring materials move efficiently throughout the organization.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager, Spare Parts Manager, Materials & Inventory Coordinator, technicians, and project teams to support daily operations.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining efficient and accurate logistics operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving Operations
- Receive incoming materials, equipment, and spare parts
- Verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
- Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
- Record receipt information accurately within company systems
- Coordinate resolution of receiving issues when required
Shipping Operations
- Prepare outbound shipments for customers, suppliers, and project sites
- Package materials and equipment safely and securely
- Generate shipping labels and documentation
- Coordinate shipments with couriers and transportation providers
- Track shipments and provide delivery updates as required
Inventory Support
- Assist with inventory organization and storage
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and identified
- Support inventory counts and cycle counting activities
- Assist with material traceability requirements
- Maintain accurate inventory records
Documentation & Administration
- Process packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documents
- Submit required documentation to Accounting and Supply Chain personnel
- Maintain organized shipment and receiving records
- Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
Operational Support
- Support technicians, mechanics, and fabrication personnel with material requests
- Assist with kitting activities for work orders and projects
- Help maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 2 years of shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse, or inventory experience
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
- Ability to lift and move materials safely
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift License
Preferred
- Experience supporting manufacturing, maintenance, defence, aerospace, automotive, or heavy equipment operations
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and logistics processes
- Controlled Goods Program eligibility
