What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Oakville branch is currently seeking a Wealth Associate to join a well-established advisory team. The successful candidate will provide quality client service and help deepen client relationships by offering efficient support to both clients and advisory teams. Executing the advisory team’s wealth management strategy is the main focus of this role.

What will you do?

  • Support advisory team and clients through the wealth management process by gathering relevant information, documents, and questionnaires
  • Maintain audit of advisory team’s wealth management activities and priorities
  • Coordinate activities with wealth management and insurance specialists and in-branch consultants: schedule, track progress, follow up
  • Liaise with branch management team for updates on and progress with wealth management initiatives
  • Coordinate meetings and events for the Investment Advisor with clients and prospects: help determine agenda and key topics, prepare documentation, execute post-meeting work
  • Provide proactive client service on the phone and in person, respond to client inquiries and support the advisory team in general administrative duties in the management of client accounts
  • Request information and documentation from clients in order to open accounts and keep client files up to date
  • Provide support, direction, advice, leadership and ongoing coaching to the advisory team's sales support team members
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Investment Representative approval with IIROC
  • Post-secondary degree
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time-management skills
Nice-to-have

  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience in financial services industry
  • Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Enthusiastic, committed, and team player spirit
