Position Summary:
Parkland Fuel is currently hiring two Senior JD Edwards (JDE) Systems Analysts to join our ERP sustainment team in Calgary. If you have a combination of senior level technical and functional experience with one or more of the following JDE modules, we encourage you to apply. Required JDE module experience: Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Procurement including the full Procure to Pay process, hands-on technical experience with the Capital Asset Management (CAM) system is a significant asset.

The Senior JD Edwards (JDE) Systems Analyst will develop requirements and specifications according to professional standards, using natural language, collaborate with subject matter experts and developers to establish the business and technical direction, analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs. Support of Core Business Units: Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance. The senior analyst will work on complex cross functional projects and be a mentor to other analysts and team members. Will occasionally act as the Project Manager for short term projects or where PM resources are not available.

Key Responsibilities:
Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Functional Owners of multiple business and technical processes;
Interacts and coordinates with more senior members of the business to understand and document more complex business requirements and/or business cases;
Will prioritize business requests and decide on an appropriate technical solution, they will then coordinate the necessary IT and Business resources to deliver said solution;
Actively involved in and contributes throughout the system development life cycle (SDLC), and would participate in any changes to the SDLC process and/or Change Approval Board Process;
Responsible for analysis, translation and simplification of more complex business requirements to technical and functional requirements;
Participates in strategic planning exercises with their Director and helps implement said strategy to support Business Direction;
Provides assistance with diagnosis and resolution of escalated complex production issues;
Acts as IT liaison for internal and external contacts related to the Business Analysts’ assigned systems;
Active ownership of major responsibilities resulting in problem solving at Senior level
Provides detailed project timeline estimates;
Involved in project management tasks such as: planning and monitor & controlling in some projects;
Builds effective working relationships with key vendors and outside contractors to support IT initiatives;
Supervisory responsibilities of any direct reports include leadership, mentorship and performance management; and
Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, IIBA, Mathematics would be an asset however relevant experience or related education would also be considered;
Minimum of 5-7 years of Enterprise Systems or equivalent experience;
Experience with JDE EnterpriseOne is mandatory as is experience with one or more of the following: Plant Maintenance/Capital Asset Management; Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), or Procurement including the Procure to Pay process.
Experience with working with Manufacturing business areas within a company;
Mastery of Software/System Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
ITIL foundation v3.0 certified;
Superior analytical problem solving;
Superior technical writing skills; and
Superior communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
