Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members
- Support children with special needs or disabilities through individualized care plans and accommodations
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging curiosity, independence, and social skills
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization in compliance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, share best practices, and ensure consistent educational approaches
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities
Skills
- Proven experience working with young children in an educational or caregiving setting
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and development milestones
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, providing necessary support and accommodations
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to engage children through creative activities and play-based learning
- Compassionate caregiver with patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Classroom experience that demonstrates the ability to manage group dynamics and foster positive behavior
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to early childhood environments
