Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods and freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight and packages to clients and warehouses.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time, maintaining accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when necessary, including forklifts or other industrial machinery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and delivery area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during operations.
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or courier services is preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures is advantageous.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
- Basic automotive repair skills are beneficial for vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and delivery tracking.
This role requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities while ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
