CT Logics Inc. is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Lead Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Acheson, Alberta.
This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced electrician who can lead a team in the field while remaining actively involved in electrical installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and service.
You will help coordinate electrical crews working on solar PV systems, battery energy-storage systems, electrical controls, and related electrical infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate a team of electricians and apprentices on electrical projects.
- Provide day-to-day direction and technical support to the electrical crew.
- Plan and coordinate electrical work to keep projects safe, organized, and on schedule.
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and commission solar PV and battery-storage systems.
- Install and terminate AC/DC wiring, conduit, panels, disconnects, breakers, and electrical equipment.
- Install and connect solar inverters, battery systems, monitoring equipment, and associated components.
- Install, wire, troubleshoot, and commission electrical control systems and control panels.
- Install and troubleshoot control wiring, relays, contactors, sensors, switches, timers, and related components.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams.
- Troubleshoot electrical, control, automation, and communication systems.
- Perform electrical testing, commissioning, and system verification.
- Perform electrical service upgrades and solar interconnections.
- Coordinate electrical work with project managers, engineers, customers, inspectors, utilities, and other trades.
- Mentor apprentices and less-experienced electricians.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve field issues and installation deficiencies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Ensure work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code, Alberta requirements, utility requirements, approved designs, and manufacturer specifications.
- Lead by example in safety, professionalism, productivity, and quality workmanship.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Alberta Journeyperson Electrician certification.
- Proven experience leading or coordinating a team of electricians.
- Strong electrical installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning experience.
- Experience with electrical controls and control wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and Alberta electrical requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and keep work progressing on schedule.
- Ability to work hands-on while providing leadership to the crew.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Solar & Controls Experience Is an Asset
