Cadzow Healthcare Centre Laboratory is a busy department, offering an excellent opportunity to develop and grow your skills in the Chemistry and Hematology departments. As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform site specific manual and automated laboratory procedures and related duties following established standards of practice defined by the Alberta College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (CMLTA), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and Health Professions Act.
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must be organized, and an independent worker and a strong team player who is committed to providing quality patient care. Understands and maintains a working knowledge of analytical techniques and demonstrates excellent problem solving, decision making and trouble-shooting skills. Must be approachable and reliable. Able to display communication and interpersonal skills to deal courteously and tactfully with team members and other Alberta Precision Laboratory staff. Required to take call and respond to call backs within 30 minutes. Experience with Beaker and Radiant modules of Epic in the last 2 years. Experience performing phlebotomy in the last year.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the last year with the following analyzers: XT3400, Access2, Sysmex and Caresphere, Clinitek, ACL coagulation analyzers.
