Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including ductwork, structural steel, and custom fabrication, utilizing a variety of welding techniques and fabrication tools.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
- Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and form materials.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to cut, drill, and assemble components accurately.
- Rigging and handling heavy materials using cranes or forklifts safely.
- Fabricate ductwork, structural components, or custom parts according to project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in assembly processes as needed, ensuring parts fit correctly and meet quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) with the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including machining, assembly, and construction techniques.
- Familiarity with rigging procedures, crane operation, forklift operation, and schematics reading.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and basic math skills for measurements.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments with experience in ductwork or construction preferred.
- Ability to operate machining equipment and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
