Community Living Workers
The Community Living Worker is a part of a team that ensures each resident living within the group home has the opportunity and support for independence, learning and self-expression according to their individual abilities and preferences. The employees help to create and maintain a comfortable home environment, and provide assistance with activities of daily living and active participation of the client in the community.
During this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to the health and safety of our employees. We are diligently following all directions from the Ministry of Health and Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, and we are providing all necessary PPE supplies. Requirements and Qualifications:
Post-secondary certificate in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Current St. John’s "Emergency First Aid - Community Care" First aid and Cardio-pulmonary certification
Valid Class 4 BC Driver's Licence (restricted or unrestricted)
Job Skills and Abilities:
Competency in written and verbal communication
Ability in conflict resolution and personnel interaction
Ability to work independently but within a team environment
Ability to work under pressure while still maintaining time restrictions
