Overview
We are seeking a skilled AZ Truck Driver with Flatbed/ Rolltite Experience to join our transportation team for Toronto - Montreal and USA runs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. Candidates should possess a valid AZ license and relevant experience in commercial driving.
Duties
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight over long or short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure vehicle safety
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including bills of lading and delivery logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to keep trucks in optimal condition
- Assist with warehouse operations related to freight movement and inventory management
Skills
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and perform automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of safety awareness
