Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Attendants to provide essential support to individuals in assisted living, home care, nursing homes, and hospice settings. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the safety and well-being of clients. Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration following prescribed guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Support patients with dementia or cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques
- Assist with transfers and heavy lifting to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
- Support hospice care needs by providing compassionate end-of-life assistance
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient care, senior care, dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate attitude
- Basic knowledge of medication administration and meal preparation
- Excellent communication skills and patience when working with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Certification in caregiving or relevant training is a plus but not mandatory
This position is ideal for caring individuals committed to providing high-quality support while fostering independence and dignity for those in need.
Pay: $19.45-$19.50 per hour
