Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, take accurate orders, and ensure a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, food industry knowledge, and a passion for hospitality. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. The Server will be responsible for delivering quality service while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and give correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address any concerns promptly
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Basic math skills for billing and cash handling purposes
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, upselling, and guest services
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
