We are a European automotive repair shop looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Red Seal Automotive Technician (or an apprentice if you are the right fit) to join our team! This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to utilize their experience to perform repairs and diagnostics on (old and new) specialty cars in a small-shop environment. We have been in the Cowichan Valley for over 30 years and have a strong and loyal customer base. Our customers need to be safe and to feel confident, not only in their vehicle, but also in their servicing needs. Our employees are thorough, friendly and trusted team members. We believe in the ongoing training of our team as well as in our commitment to the next generation of honest and competent technicians. We primarily work on European and British vehicles and have a high standard for our work. We provide a guaranteed daily lunch hour, ice cream every Friday and monthly "staff nights".
Responsibilities:
- Accurately troubleshoot/diagnose customer complaints (regarding their vehicles).
- Maintain a clean and relatively organized work space.
- Provide your own tools.
- Repair vehicles within a designated timeframe.
- Clearly communicate with and update our Service Writer.
- Be punctual and respectful of our 8am - 5pm work day.
- Keep a clean and professional personal appearance.
- Work cleanly - wear gloves and use fender covers.
- Coach and mentor apprentices.
- Always be courteous to our customers - be mindful of language, smile, say hello, hold doors open etc...
- Be proud of your work.
- Keep shop equipment in good working order and report any deficiencies/required repairs.
- Work alongside/within close quarters of others.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
