Responsibilities:
Recruitment / HR Duties:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: posting job ads, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, recruiting metrics and follow ups.
- Maintain recruitment tracking tools and databases; ensure accurate and timely updates of job requisitions.
- Proactively finding new ways to source candidates (attending career fairs, joining HVAC committees ,etc.)
- Support hiring managers with job descriptions, candidate sourcing, and interviews.
- Support the company newsletter and organize/support company events.
- Administrate the HR Bamboo system.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities with payroll for accurate employee setup and processing.
Safety Support Duties:
- Maintain safety-related documentation: MSDS, incident reports, safety meeting minutes, training logs, certifications.
- Assist with scheduling mandatory safety training, tracking expiration of safety certifications.
- Liaise with safety managers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA/OHS etc. as relevant in Alberta).
- Support internal safety audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking with an objective of obtaining COR.
- Assist in preparing reports or statistics related to safety performance (incident rates, near-misses, training status).
- Other additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in HR, Business Administration, Occupational Health & Safety or currently enrolled in a post secondary program is preferred.
- HR / recruitment experience; prior safety administration experience an asset.
- Proactive mindset with strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with safety regulations in Alberta / Canada is a asset.
- Great with office tools: MS Office, HRIS / applicant tracking systems, document management.
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
