Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our team. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution for landscapes and gardens. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and expertise in irrigation systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties
- Inspect and troubleshoot irrigation systems to identify issues and determine necessary repairs
- Dig trenches and install pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, and other irrigation system components
- Adjust sprinkler heads to ensure proper water distribution and coverage
- Program and set irrigation timers according to specific watering schedules
- Perform regular maintenance on irrigation systems, including cleaning filters, replacing broken or worn-out parts, and adjusting water pressure
- Collaborate with landscaping teams to coordinate irrigation system installation with landscape design plans
- Provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to existing irrigation systems
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Irrigation Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of irrigation system components, including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, timers, and controllers
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools required for installation and repairs
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues with irrigation systems
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches
