The Mechanical Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all Structural, Piping, and Insulation scopes of work are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and schedules. This position is a night shift role and will work closely with construction, contractor, and client teams to support successful project execution and completion.
The Mechanical Coordinator reports directly to the Site Construction Manager and indirectly to the COOEC Project Manager.

Work closely with the Construction Management Team (CMT) to drive project schedules, communicate progress, and support project documentation and processes.

Coordinate and participate in site meetings, project team meetings, and client meetings.

Develop, maintain, and manage deficiency lists and project photo documentation.

Organize and attend weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly project-related meetings as required.

Review and sign payment certificates and verify contractor progress against project milestones.

Support the review and processing of contractor RFIs (Requests for Information), NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and Change Order documentation.

Assist with project budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting updates.

Coordinate permit applications and ensure all required approvals are obtained.

Monitor construction schedules and ensure timelines remain current and aligned with project notifications and milestones.

Track mechanical construction progress and identify potential schedule, quality, or execution issues for timely resolution.

Maintain effective communication with contractors, site personnel, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of work.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Mechanical or Piping Coordinator, Supervisor, or Manager role within industrial construction projects.

Journeyman Steamfitter/Pipefitter or Welder certification is required, or an equivalent combination of training and relevant industry experience.

Strong knowledge of piping, structural steel installation, construction methodologies, and project completion processes.

Demonstrated ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documentation.

Willingness and ability to work a night shift schedule and support project requirements outside standard business hours as needed.
