Your Role and Responsibilities
Understand, review and provide input into SOW and contractual responsibilities of IBM & Client
Create and execute an effective and comprehensive project plan & WBS
Serve as point of contact; create, manage, aggregate and present reports and meaningful metrics
Review project tasks, schedules, and resources and make changes or additions, as appropriate;
Measure and evaluate progress against IBM project plans, if applicable, with the Client Service Delivery Manager;
Resolve deviations in the SOW in conjunction with Client Service Delivery Manager;
Coordinate and manage the in-scope activities of IBM Support Personnel;
Monitor and manage all SLAs so no penalties are incurred;
Establish documentation and procedural standards for deliverable Materials;
Effectively communicate with senior stakeholders across teams and organizations
Create and facilitate relevant meetings
Support the team, including assigning & following up on activities, identifying and resolving obstacles, and ensuring a highly motivated and effective team
Assist in resource management, hiring and onboarding
Assist in productivity capture and measurement, as well as financial forecasting, revenue and GP reporting
Define, implement, and continually improve processes & procedures
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience in planning of complex activities, then collaborating and leading execution
Strong client relationship, communication and presentation skills to technical, functional, management and executive audiences
Strong English spoken and written skills
Experience in defining, implementing & improving processes & procedures
Discipline, diligence, and follow-up on multiple on-going activities and priorities
Well versed in MS Project, as well as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Creating, reviewing, consolidating, presenting reports to senior/executive audience
Working in matrix organization structure and effectively collaborating with busy stakeholders
Must have or be eligible for Canadian Federal Government Security Clearance – Enhanced Reliability Status or higher
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of experience in project or operations management
PMI PMP certification is a strong asset
Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter, motivated to enhance and expand operations
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and be able to guide and influence fellow team members through initiative and active participation
Excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage customers and complex relationships;
Ability to recognize and articulate issues/problems related to team operations
Strong problem solving/decision making skills
Strong project management skills, including managing project risks and issues, managing resources, scope, prioritization, and work plan
Demonstrated strong leadership skills working with project teams and clients;
Ability to work closely with process owners and other key stakeholders to communicate the progress of projects;
Large team management experience;
Federal / Public Sector experience
Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
