Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Brake Operator and Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating various CNC machinery and fabricating sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience in machining, and the ability to read blueprints accurately. Duties
- Operate CNC brake presses and other related equipment to fabricate sheet metal according to specifications.
- Use hand tools and other measuring instruments for quality inspection and ensuring dimensional accuracy.
- Set up and adjust machinery, including press brakes and CNC equipment, for different jobs.
- Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of machinery to maintain optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical documents for proper fabrication procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to crane operation, forklift handling, and machine operation.
- Assist in the movement of materials using cranes or forklifts when required.
- Ensure finished products meet quality standards through inspection and testing.
Experience
- Prior experience operating CNC machinery such as laser cutters, plasma cutters, press brakes, CNC lathes, or milling machines is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, basic math skills for measurements, and mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Experience with hand tools, calipers, quality inspection procedures, and machining processes will be advantageous.
- Certification or experience in forklift operation is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and protocols is required.
