Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumbing Subcontractor to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. The Plumber will ensure all work meets safety standards and building codes, contributing to the successful completion of projects with quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed for installation or repair tasks
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and HVAC technicians to coordinate project efforts
- Adhere to safety protocols and building codes during all phases of work
- Assist with assembly of plumbing components and related systems on-site or in fabrication areas
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of waste materials
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with a strong understanding of plumbing systems
- Experience with HVAC systems is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting complex plumbing issues
- Experience with assembly processes related to plumbing components
- Valid driver’s license (preferred) for transporting materials or equipment when necessary
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various construction environments
