Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop individualized therapy plans
- Implement therapeutic activities aimed at improving motor skills, coordination, and daily living functions for patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Manage case loads efficiently while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery
- Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment, and strategies for ongoing recovery at home
- Document patient progress meticulously in medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Monitor patient responses to therapy interventions, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology and acute care protocols relevant to diverse clinical environments
Experience
- Proven hospital experience working with a wide range of patient populations, including pediatrics and adults in acute care settings
- Demonstrated case management skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple patient cases effectively
- Strong background in patient care with a focus on rehabilitation, mobility, and functional independence
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation standards required for accurate record keeping
