Length of Assignment:
IT Business Solutions group, a team of dedicated IT consultants that oversee customer relationship management, business analysis, product and project management utilizing best-in-class software to support BGIS customers. Working directly with business partners and IT Solutions Delivery to manage and drive application enhancements while aligning with the direction of the Enterprise Project Management Office. The Solutions Consultant II collaborates with business leads and subject matter experts to implement tactical and strategic software solutions. At this level, the incumbent implements and supports systems with multiple and more complex dependencies involving a financial component, higher requirement for real time processing, more complex processes, and have a greater risk to the organization.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Business System Analysis
Works with business leads and subject matter experts in the implementation of tactical and strategic software solutions. Plans and conducts third-party software analysis as needed for inclusion in the project solution.
Create business process and data models using best practice techniques and tools such as MS Visio, including current and future state solution design documents.
Understands and communicates technical and architectural complexities of a technical solution so that project stakeholders can easily understand.
Arranges and facilitates requirements discussions including interviewing SME’s, shadowing key end users, and collaborating with business leaders to define and document solid functional requirements for new solutions or enhancements to existing applications and reports.
Recommends approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes in the organization to improve overall efficiency
Communicates requirements to the IT Solutions Delivery Team to obtain the necessary time and cost estimates (documentation, development, UA/QA testing, deployment, etc.) as well as any anticipated issues and risks.
Performs impact analysis of proposed solutions, assesses the impact of changes/enhancements to various accounts/users, understands variances in implementation by account, and identifies opportunities for standardization.
Translate business requirements and user stories into functional use cases for tool implementation.
Define acceptance criteria and create test data for IT solutions by considering all possible outcomes of the use cases.
Obtains business sponsor approvals on all business requirements and estimates, where applicable, prior to proceeding to the next stage in the project in accordance with IT process and audit requirements.
Conducts systems implementation, and coordinates user acceptance testing and sign off. When assigned, assists with the development of high-level plans for completion of Requirements and Acceptance phases of projects, improving in the level of detail and accuracy of estimates over time.
When assigned, contributes to the development and execution of testing, including coordinating system and acceptance testing.
Reviews defects arising from testing, including User Acceptance Testing, and works with stakeholders to resolve them.
Provides guidance with the definition of a defect as a Change Request or bug.
Contributes/creates user guides, reference manuals/ training materials as appropriate.
Supports the Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) with vendors if required.
Contributes to the team knowledgebase with best practices, lessons learned, concept and solutions documents.
Possesses a deep understanding and problem-solving ability of IT of various scale, degree and dimension of complexity.
Performs analysis of reported production problems, determine impact and priority; and recommend corrective actions.
Works with multiple Solutions Consultants to gain a solid understanding of requirements and implements client specific solutions with emphasis on data analysis, extract, transform and load.
Completes assigned data loads to support specific client initiatives and new client transitions. Performs data parsing and transformation as required to import data into our system while maintaining data integrity and quality.
When assigned, creates database views and performs minor modification in database packages.
When assigned, creates data extractions utilizing MS-Access or SQL Developer.
Creates and maintains implementation checklist.
Acts as a knowledge expert in areas of focus from an IT product perspective.
Manages the IT product roadmap for respective applications and coordinates IT and business discussions to maintain the roadmap.
Conducts implementation of new modules and coordinates user acceptance testing and sign off prior to production implementation.
Works with business leads, SME’s and key end users to assist in defining new business processes which leverage existing or new RealSuite, Best of Breed Applications and Business Intelligence Applications functionality.
Researches industry/product trends and makes appropriate recommendations for tactical and strategic software enhancements that align with industry trends and clients evolving needs.
Works with business leads and SME’s in the completion of Implementation Workbooks used for implementing new modules including analyzing client legacy systems/data for the purposes of migration to BGIS systems.
Provides direction and guidance as a Second-Tier support resource to the Application Support team for products under the responsibility of the Solution Consultant.
Customer Relationship Management
Coordinates and maintains regular contact with account leads and/or product line leads as an accountable technology partner to ensure that their implemented solutions continue to meet their business needs.
Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.
Manages a backlog of account- or product line-specific needs on behalf of business partners
Facilitates small to medium size group meetings and conducts small cross-functional interviews.
Prepares and delivers presentations to business partners.
Represents account leads and/or product lines in IT-centric processes to ensure the business needs are raised and considered
Advises business partners of new technology products, enhancements and innovations as they become available to help ensure the business can leverage IT offerings effectively
Provides guidance as a BGIS technical subject matter expert directly with client customer organizations to assist with solution exercises for contemplated software implementations
Resolves minor conflicts/issues and escalates others as appropriate.
Responsible for the overall success of IT projects including but not limited to application development projects, business process development projects and new client implementations for core BGIS applications.
Works on multiple projects at the same time.
Contributes to the development of Project Proposal Forms, Project Charter and Expenditure Allocation Requests for funding.
Leads Business Transformations, Multi-department and Corporate Programs on behalf of the Executive Sponsor and in alignment with Enterprise Project Management Office.
Establishes project milestones with key business leads and technologies team members.
Provides weekly status updates to senior management for all major initiatives highlighting key deliverables, risks and areas requiring assistance/escalation.
Employs documentation best practices in all solutions documentation and applies established BGIS and IT processes to the management of all software and implementation projects (Change Management, Application Enhancement/Defect Process, etc.).
Coordinates and documents post implementation analysis of major IT initiatives. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and recommends IT business process changes to senior management to address these opportunities.
Monitors, reports on and controls project budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
University or college degree in a related discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology) or equivalent technical training (e.g. CBAP, PMP, LEAN Six Sigma)
Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant work experience

Strong Knowledge of ERP systems software development
Operate and leverage Agile/Scrum and waterfall methodologies
Understands complete Software Development Life Cycle and can apply the applicable portions of the Intake, Discovery, Execution and Stabilization phases.
Experience creating business requirements and functional design documentation.
Strong analytic skills and ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently.
Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL scripting/queries.

Experience with Facilities Management / Real Estate software applications such as: IWMS (Archibus, Tririga, Accruent, Serraview),CMMS (Maximo, Angus), Real Estate (Yardi, Argus).
Knowledge of Business Intelligence Products (Power BI, Tableau, etc)
Demonstrates working knowledge of writing and reading SQL statements in MS SSMS
Experience on the following is desired:
Microsoft and/or Oracle Database Technologies, SQL, PLSQL and relational databases
Experience with ETL tools and procedures
