Overview
Aurora Flags and Banners is growing, and we need someone to help us grow the right way - through reliable project management and great service to customers that keeps pace with the work. This is a new role, created because we are scaling and need someone who owns smaller projects from start to finish and supports the bigger ones, while managing the details that make everything work.
We are looking for someone who is keen on a career in project management and small business. You will learn how real projects move through a real company. From day one, you will handle customers, solve problems at your level, and be part of our growth!
If you want to make things happen, take pride in keeping things organized and tracked, and want to build your project management skills in real life, this will be a great role for you.
What You'll Own
- Own smaller projects independently from estimate through completion
- Provide critical assistance and learn on larger projects supporting the project lead
- Handle customer communication and set expectations on your projects
- Own the organization and accuracy of project information, tracking, and documentation so nothing is lost or forgotten
- Set up new projects, estimates, and scope of work documentation
- Book locates, track material orders and delivery, confirm everything is in place
- Keep schedules, QuickBooks, and Salesforce current throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare complete job packages for crews with nothing missing
- Coordinate with suppliers and field teams so nothing gets lost in email
- Track job status, outstanding items, and follow-up tasks to close-out
- Maintain project documentation and safety requirements
- Invoice projects accurately and on time
- Flag risks or schedule issues before they become problems
- Learn how bigger projects operate and what it takes to handle them
You will own real projects and manage real customers. You will see what happens when details slip and when they don't. This is real project management, not a training program.
What We Need
The role requires someone who is highly organized. You should be a good communicator who writes clear, simple updates. Also you:
- Are thorough, conscientious and detail-oriented.
- Work well within systems encompassing excel, outlook and checklists.
- Unfazed when plans shift and able to shift quickly in response.
- Chase down missing information instead of waiting to be told.
Construction or logistics experience is also an asset as is your CAPM or progress towards one. But neither is required if you can work within our systems and finish what you start.
We are looking for a diligent person who is eager to learn and contribute, with energy and real interest in building a career in project management and small business. This is not a short-term placement. You'll grow here.
