Do you take pride in building high-quality outdoor spaces—and leading a team to do the same?
Are you the kind of person who enjoys taking a project from the first shovel in the ground to the final finishing touch?
Do you enjoy mentoring others, solving problems, and seeing your crew deliver work you can be proud of?
If so, we'd like to meet you.
At Livingstone Landscaping Ltd., we're not just building landscapes—we're building careers, teams, and outdoor environments people love.
As one of the largest landscaping companies in Southwestern Manitoba and Southern Saskatchewan, we're looking for a Landscape Foreperson who is ready to take ownership of projects, lead a small crew, and deliver high-quality workmanship from start to finish.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll spend your days working alongside your crew, building beautiful outdoor spaces, making decisions on site, and helping less-experienced team members develop their skills.
If you're an experienced Landscape Technician or Crew Lead who's ready to take the next step, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
As a Landscape Foreperson, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day execution of your projects and help ensure your crew has what they need to succeed.
You'll:
-
Lead and coordinate a 2–3 person crew on site
-
Organize daily tasks and keep projects moving efficiently
-
Install hardscape features such as patios, retaining walls, decks, walkways, outdoor kitchens, and other landscape structures
-
Install softscape elements including sod, soil, mulch, trees, shrubs, and plantings
-
Read and follow landscape designs, plans, and project specifications
-
Measure, prepare, and cut materials accurately
-
Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, compactors, saws, and other job-site tools
-
Coordinate material deliveries and manage day-to-day site logistics
-
Keep job sites safe, clean, organized, and professional
-
Complete quality checks throughout each stage of the project
-
Identify potential issues early and find practical solutions to keep work on track
-
Communicate project progress, site conditions, and challenges with the Project Manager
-
Interact professionally with clients and help create a positive customer experience
-
Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and other trades as required
-
Track project progress and complete daily logs
-
Accurately record time and project information using LMN
You'll know you're succeeding when:
-
Your crew knows what needs to happen each day and works well together
-
Projects stay organized and move forward efficiently
-
Work is completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard
-
Materials, equipment, and deliveries are coordinated effectively
-
Problems are identified and addressed before they become bigger issues
-
Job sites are clean, organized, and professional
-
Clients feel informed, respected, and confident in the work being completed
-
Your crew members are learning, improving, and taking pride in their work
-
The finished project reflects the quality and craftsmanship Livingstone is known for
We're looking for someone who is ready to lead from the front.
You may be a great fit if you are:
-
Experienced in landscaping, landscape construction, or a related trade
-
A current Crew Lead or experienced Technician ready to take the next step
-
Confident leading a small team while maintaining a positive and productive work environment
-
Skilled in hardscape and/or softscape installation techniques
-
Comfortable operating landscaping equipment and job-site tools
-
A strong problem solver who can adapt when conditions change
-
Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality workmanship
-
Safety-minded and knowledgeable about safe job-site practices
-
Organized and able to manage people, materials, timelines, and multiple priorities
-
Comfortable communicating with clients, team members, and Project Managers
-
Willing to coach and mentor less-experienced team members
-
Able to take ownership of your work and follow through on commitments
-
The holder of a valid driver's license
-
Comfortable towing a trailer or willing to learn; trailering experience is an asset
We're interested in more than just your years of experience.
