Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches and salads, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, food safety, and customer interaction within a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Duties
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards and recipes
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and answering questions about menu options
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy hours
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed throughout food handling and preparation
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
- Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Assist with restocking supplies and organizing the work area as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation, food handling, and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Commitment to food safety standards and cleanliness regulations
