Job Overview

Supporting the General Manager, Market and Trade Risk Management (M&TRM) and the Risk Management group, you will facilitate and provide professionally prepared materials for monthly Risk Management and quarterly Audit committee and Executive Commodity Risk Management committee meetings as well as Board material for Suncor’s senior executive level.

Key Accountabilities

Organize the logistics of monthly and quarterly meetings by scheduling the preparatory meetings, preparing documents, creating Powerpoint presentations, reviewing attendees to ensure quorum, timely provisioning of pre-reads, taking minutes and managing the agenda
Manage the General Manager’s calendar for all meetings, conference calls and other events and provide pre-reads and other materials for upcoming meetings
Prepare and distribute Suncor Energy Foundation Board materials and support the GM in the role of Finance Chair
Respond to internal requests and inquiries, maintaining excellent relationships and exercising mature discernment and discretion in handling information
Organize M&TRM input for the risk management update for the Audit Committee meeting by scheduling preparatory meetings and ensuring deadlines are met
Schedule, coordinate presentations and set-up technology for quarterly town halls which include London, Houston, Denver, Mississauga, and Calgary
Prepare monthly expense reports and an analysis of monthly cost centre expenditures for budgeting purposes
Support Risk Management’s new hire and onboarding requirements, business processes, team meetings, filing and other ad-hoc organizational initiatives as required
Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:
Minimum five years of experience providing administrative support
Preference for a diploma in office administration, records and information management, or related post-secondary training
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent computer skills, including an experienced level of Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, and PowerPoint
Proficiency with SAP and Livelink is an asset and aptitude and ability to learn, a requisite
You have the confidence to provide a high calibre of project management administrative support, including compiling status updates and updating presentations
You are a strong collaborator which enables you to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
You possess a continuous improvement mindset to look beyond the role description and make valuable contributions
You are a self-starter, who will take initiative to build positive relationships and anticipate the needs of others
You have a demonstrated dedication, with the ability to balance a demanding workload, discrete confidentiality and exercise mature professional judgement
You are flexible and can accommodate multiple requests from various groups in a diplomatic manner
