About the Opportunity:
GMS is currently seeking experienced Haul Truck Operators to join our team in an embedded, site-based role at an active mining operation near Tumbler Ridge, BC. This is an opportunity for ongoing, long-term employment with consistent scheduling and integration into a dedicated site team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Haul Trucks (Cat 789, 793 and Komatsu 830) in a surface mining environment
- Complete pre-operational inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow all site safety procedures and company policies
- Work closely with supervisors and crew to meet production targets
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience Cat 789, 793 and Komatsu 830 in a surface mining operation
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts
Compensation: $40 - $45 per hour with travel and living allowances provided where applicable.
Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, with rotating day and night shifts.
