Overview:
We are a small but growing food production company looking for a reliable and experienced Cleaner to join our team. Our facility operates under federal food safety regulations, so attention to cleanliness, documentation, and procedures is essential.
Schedule:
- 2-3 hours per evening
- ~3-4 evenings per week (after 5:00 PM)
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of production areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Clean equipment, floors, surfaces, and waste areas
- Handle and dispose of food waste (including meat byproducts) and garbage
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to protocols
- Complete and maintain accurate cleaning and sanitation records
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout the facility
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., meat byproducts, industrial pots, waste bins)
- Previous cleaning experience in an industrial or food environment is preferred
- Ability to complete and maintain accurate cleaning and sanitation records is a must
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must possess good English speaking and writing skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
