Job Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for leading each custom home project from pre-construction through completion, ensuring that scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client experience are managed to the highest standard. This role serves as the central point of accountability for clients, internal teams, Site Foremen, trades, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring that communication is clear, decisions are timely, documentation is accurate, and projects are delivered in alignment with company expectations and values.
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, delivery, and close-out. This role requires strong leadership abilities and a proven track record of successful construction project management.
As Project Manager, you will report directly to the Construction Manager. You will be the lead and primary contact for clients, consultants, and all subcontractors engaged on the project. The Project Manager is responsible to plan and coordinate with the project team all aspects of the construction project, including construction methodology, prime contract management, subcontract management, consultants, quality control, schedule, cost control, and safety.
Your day-to-day responsibilities and expectations include:
Client Management
- Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships.
- Manage client communications, expectations, and decision timelines.
- Provide regular weekly written updates, using Daily Logs in Buildertrend, and lead site and milestone meetings.
- Address client concerns, changes, and deviations proactively
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Hold overall accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client experience.
- Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules and forecasts.
- Lead internal project teams and direct Site Foremen and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, permits, codes, and warranty requirements.
Project Administration & Financial Control
- Use Buildertrend for scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and reporting.
- Maintain complete project documentation including quotes, selections, change orders, and back charges.
- Monitor and control operational budgets weekly with Accounting.
- Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and financial commitments.
- Approve and authorize change orders in accordance with company policy.
Trade & Contract Management
- Manage trade contracts, scopes of work, procurement, and performance.
- Approve trade quotes, negotiate financial terms, and issue purchase orders.
- Ensure all scope deviations are pre-approved, documented, and authorized.
Opening & Closing Projects
- Manage all pre-construction and post-construction procedures and deadlines.
- Oversee deficiencies, warranty documentation, utility coordination, and client close-out.
Site Safety (Oversight)
- Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements and company safety policies.
- Ensure Site Foremen are properly executing safety programs and documentation.
Professional Conduct & Company Representation
- Represent the company professionally and uphold organizational values.
- Maintain confidentiality and pursue ongoing professional development.
More About You
You have at least five years of direct experience as a Project Manager in the residential construction industry. This experience, in combination with a post-secondary or technical trade certification in a construction-related field, is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
