Responsibilities:
-receptionist related tasks such as photocopying, organizing files, data entry, greeting clients and/or other general adminstrative work as assigned.
Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings
- Manage and organize documents using document management systems
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity
- Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- File and organize legal documents in physical and electronic filing systems
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and court appearances for attorneys
- Answer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling, copying, and scanning documents
- Perform other clerical tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a legal assistant or similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with document management systems and legal software is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Proficient in transcribing dictations accurately
- Data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is beneficial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
