Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial trucks over long distances to deliver freight efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight across regional and national locations, ensuring timely deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, route changes, or issues encountered during transit
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle operability during trips
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight transportation and long-distance driving
- Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling
- Knowledge of automotive repair fundamentals for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatchers and clients

Pay: $72,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
