Description
As a virtual MSL you will be a true scientific, medical expert and an extension of client’s Medical Affairs team.
You will serve as a dedicated extension of client’s Medical Affairs team, supporting a medication for HAE through scientific exchange, stakeholder engagement, & medical information support across Quebec & the Maritimes. You will build and facilitate strategic peer-to-peer relationships with key Health Care Providers (HCP) in the assigned region. You will provide credible and unbiased scientific information, identifying and executing the strategic Medical Affairs Plan and supporting home office medical activities. Strong emphasis on collaboration w/ cross-functional colleagues as appropriate.
Responsibilities

Develop and demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of products, as well as current medical / scientific research & publications

Establish Medical Affairs presence virtually in the medical community through long-term and valued scientific relationships with thought leaders, the medical community, and patient organizations

Provide virtual medical/scientific presentations to internal and external groups

Provide internal stakeholders with feedback and insights from virtual interactions and discussions with Health Care Professionals

Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in rare disease therapeutic areas

Review scientific journals and attend scientific and key technical meetings

Respond to and document unsolicited requests for scientific information for products, including those in development

Share clinical and value-based expertise in the development and management of clinical and scientific communications for customers, including publications, conference data, and educational materials, as well as for internal communications and materials to be used in training and development activities

Support clinical initiatives including site identification and feasibility, trial recruitment, registry and presentation of approved data if needed

Adhere to corporate and healthcare compliance guidance in all activities
Requirements

Advanced scientific degree preferred (PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, MSc or equivalent)

French/English bilingual proficiency required

3+ years of MSL experience highly preferred

Understanding of rare disease, specialty care, or complex therapeutic environments is preferred

Demonstrated ability to build credibility with HCPs, KOLs, and key healthcare stakeholders

Strong scientific communication and presentation skills

Regional knowledge and cultural alignment within Quebec healthcare communities

Virtual external engagement experience preferred
